Last Saturday (11-25-17) the staff of Nostalgia Drag World headed out to Cordova International Raceway, a sponsor of Nostalgia Drag World, to help ‘break in’ the latest improvement to the facility. The Final Round bar and grill was officially christened by the ‘Big Kahuna” himself, ‘Dyno’ Dom Blasco, his lovely wife Teri and pretty much the entire staff of the track. They have done a terrific job of resurrecting what will no doubt be a popular hangout next season.

The party was well attended by a contingent of racers friends and fans alike. 10” tire guys bracket racers dragster and funny car drivers even a couple of Nostalgia Pro Stock racers showed up to help  with the festivities. ‘Dyno’ Dom treated his guests to an awesome Italian style chili meal complete with all the fixings. The full service bar is loaded (no pun intended) with everyone’s favorite spirits as well as a nice selection of foreign and domestic beer and wine. As you have probably guessed the bars theme is drag racing so to that end the walls are covered with great pictures of current cars, events and many pictures taken ‘back in the day’ over the long history of this racetrack. Cordova’s own Facebook live Guy had his trusty phone in hand interviewing the party goers for his pod cast. The mood of the night was very festive and there was a lot of bench racing going on. It sounds like everyone will be a lot faster next year …well ok. In summary, all had a great time thanks to Dom, Teri and the staff of Cordova International Raceway.
