It was a spur of the moment decision to go to Summit Motorsports Park's Cavalcade of Stars, an NHRA Division 3 points meet. Plenty of action provided fodder for me to test out my new camera, especially in the Stock and Super Stock classes with their wheelstanding launches.

    Also a favorite was Top Sportsman, with wild paint jobs, blown and nitrous injected powerplants and plenty of loud, smoky burnouts to thrill the crowd.
