Cottonwood Dragway, located about 10 miles outside of Dothan, AL, has been home to Johnny and Ann Jordan’s Nostalgia Night series for the past several years. Johnny and his wife Ann have been involved in NHRA and IHRA events since the mid-1960s and Johnny’s long involvement at Andalusia Dragway, Dale County Dragway, Abbeville Dragway, Atmore Dragway, Emerald Coast Dragway, and Breakaway Dragway has helped build the Nostalgia Night series into an impressive group of top Nostalgia cars from several southern states.

Over 125 tech cards were turned in and the stands were full with fans showing up from
Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Lynne Milner Baxley, driving Ellis Milner’s 1957 Chevy pro mod, took on the new Medussa Racing Team’s blown 1941 Willys pro mod. The new team of Wayne & Karen Eslava and Monty & Dana Todd is off to an impressive start and is definitely one to watch in the future!

The Southeastern Drag Racers Association Reunion and Nostalgia Night race will be held on September 30 at Cottonwood Dragway. Jessie Holmes’ Southern Outlaw Gassers will be in the house for some show stopping Gasser action. This is definitely a race to mark your calendar for!
