The Nostalgia Quick Series held their August race at Central Illinois Dragway this past weekend, and with their last race being a rain out, they were primed and ready to go!

The six car field was filled with a variety of cars from front engine dragsters to an altered and a door car all with hopes of making it to the winner’s circle.

After two rounds of qualifying, the field was set:

1)      Pete Dove, 4.43 at 157.87

2)      Doug Bangert 4.61 at 150.52

3)      Dave Royer 4.85 at 142.02

4)      Jeff Cochran 4.89 at 146.62

5)      Joey Haas 4.98 at 113.92

6)      Gayle Jenkins broke and couldn’t make the show.

Best reaction time went to Joey Haas with a .0130.

First round saw your top qualifier Pete Dove advancing with a bye run.  The next pair saw Doug Bangert run a 4.61 on a 4.60 to Joey Haas’ 4.58 on a 4.60.  Joey broke out by .0183.  Last pair up was Dave Royer getting the win with a 4.88 on a 4.85 over Jeff Cochran with a 4.90 on a 4.85.
