The first of 6 Points Races for the Victory NSS Series took place during the Nostalgia Rendezvous at Gateway Motorsports Park, May 6th & 7th. With the Gateway Arch in the background, 42 Classic Super Stocks from 8 states rolled through the Gates at GMP to do battle. The Gateway Fans enjoyed the Super Stocks both on the Track and in the Pits where they were able to observe the Cars up close and share stories with the Drivers. When the Smoke cleared, Doug Duell in his Dad's legendary Drag'n Wag'n 64 Plymouth took the win over the wheel-standing Hemi Belvedere of Jim Hagenhoff.

Doug Duell battled through a tough field of 42 NSS Racers at Gateway to add another notch in his list of many wins with his legendary 1964 Plymouth Wagon.

   As usual, a great time was had by both Racer and Spectator at this growing yearly event. The Victory Series has already been scheduled to return to the 2017 Nostalgia Rendezvous.

   With his victory at Gateway, Duell takes the early Points Lead in the Victory Series, but with 5 more Races to go, more than 40 other Racers have their eye on that position. The next Race for the Victory Nostalgia Super Stocks will be at Eddyville Raceway for the Midwest Nostalgia Nationals on June 10th & 11th.
