One of the coolest classes I have ever seen has to be the 7.0 Pro class, what a great class reminds me of the old Pro Comp days.Altereds, Funny Car, Dragsters, and now Pro Mod cars.
Eddyville Raceway Park in Eddyville, Iowa has got to be one of the coolest best run tracks around. Gerald and Kyle Kramer and their great staff started a new class last year and I call it the 4.0 Pro class. They call it Quick Performance Midwest Outlaw Series. It has everything, Nitro and Alky Fueled Altereds, Pro Mods, Rear Engine and front engine alky dragsters. I also heard rumors of a couple Alky Funny Cars that are looking to run in this series this year. Eddyville runs this as a 4 race series.

If you want to see some of the wildest racing, you have to check this class out. I was able to attend the first race of the year, May 28th, and WOW it was killer. The attending cars cars were 2 rear engine dragsters, 3 Fueled Altereds, and 2 Pro Mods. Running on a 4.0 index, no electronics, what a wild bunch. With only 7 cars this weekend it was one of the best shows and I can't wait to see more of these shows.
Low Qualifier was the 'Nitro Madness' Nitro Fueled Altered at a 4.044 @ 184.73 but not to be taken lightly was the Rear Engine Dragster of David Lowe with a 4.049 @ 174.08. The class runs 2 time runs and the quick 2 come back for the finals and the second quick 2 run off for 3rd and 4th place.
This night the final round was Roger Lechtenber and the March Meet winning Nitro Madness and David Lowe's rear Engine Dragster. Wow, what a final it was a peddel fest as both drivers gave it their all with Radar getting the win in the 'Nitro Madness' altered over Lowe's sideways all over the lane dragster. I hope everyone comes out and watchs this great racing.
