The very first challenge race of these two very strong Nostalgia Super Stock groups was held at Indianapolis Raceway Park. In this “King of the Hill” type race, 64 cars showed up to get it on. The event was sponsored appropriately by Indy Cylinder Head.

Chris Schneider & Doug Duell planned out and promoted the event for many months. Details had been revealed in March at the annual Indy Cylinder Head swap meet. Many of the racers belong to both organizations. They simply had to make a choice as to which group they wanted to race for. It was a very fun weekend making new friendships and bench racing on this hot June weekend. The winner of all the marbles was a member of both groups Mike DeChicco of Ohio with his 1965 Dodge Mr. Aruba. We look forward to doing this again in 2017.
