The Southern Outlaw Gassers’ sponsored Gasser Blowout 4 once again filled Atmore Dragway with some of the top Gassers and Nostalgia cars in the Southeast. Over 40 Gassers made the trek to southwest Alabama to participate in the 4^th GBO series event, some from as far as 700 miles away! While the heart of the event revolves around the Gassers, event organizer Jessie Holmes invites all Nostalgia cars (pre-1974) to attend. With over 110 cars showing up, race fans had plenty of action to enjoy.

A unique addition to Gasser Blowout 4 was the “parade pass” offered by Gasser drivers to any of the kids who wanted to take a slow ride down the track. It was hard to tell who had more fun — the drivers or the kids!

The racing action began to heat up in the early afternoon with Gasser Top Eliminator, Footbrake, Transbrake, Altered/Dragster, and Jr Dragster classes.

Dennis Sellers in his 468 big block Chevy powered 1969 Camaro out of Andalusia, AL. Dennis and his 10.5” tire Camaro
make regular appearances at local Nostalgia events.

Robby Karcher out of Mobile, AL in the “Yella Dawg” 1964. The “Yella Dawg” is sponsored by Bob’s Speed Shop in Mobile, AL.
