TRI–FIVE NATIONALS 2018
By Mike Ruth and Eileen Orlowski
One of the cool things about working for Nostalgia Drag World magazine is that I get to travel around the country and report on some of the best drag racing events of the year. I have owned a 1956 Chevy for many years so one of my favorites is the Tri-Five Nationals held every year at Beech Bend Raceway Bowling Green Kentucky. As its name suggest the event is open to all makes models and years … as long as they are Chevrolets and were produced between 1955 and 1957.
The Tri-Five Nationals is the brainchild of Christopher Sondles, owner of Woody’s Hot Rod'z and a huge fan of the breed. The title sponsor for the event is none other than the most recognized name in 55-57 reproduction parts, Danchuck manufacturing. Dan chuck has been heavily involved with this event since day one. For those of you that could not attend this year please enjoy the recap.
