Rock'N'Race

The 2024 Rock'N'Race is in the books as another great event staged by Don Moyer. The moved in and grabbed their pit spots. Thursday night saw an on track cacklefest and photo shoot. Friday the racing began with a Test & Tune, Gamblers Race and a night time show car street race. The music also started on Friday as 4 bands took to the Rock & Race stage.
Saturday saw heat not only on the track but in the air as temperatures soared into the low 90s. The action included Larry Dixon, Jr. And his 2 seat top fueler, almost 2 dozen AA/Gassers, BB/Funny Cars, Willys Reunion, the Bad Azz Bracket Bash, Heads-Up drag racing of all classes, a wheelie contest, a burnout contest, fun runs, exhibition cars, a hippie contest, a car show, swap meet, more bands on the stage and the night was capped off with a fireworks show.
Sunday saw the 409 National event, ¼ mile Gasser Magazine index race, North American 1/8th mile, an index race and bracket racing. All in all it was another great show. The Matcham family, operators of the track, are to be commended for helping to put on this event as well. This one should be on your list to attend next year if you can!
