Nostalgia Stars Invade Route 66
by Dan Ricks

Sam Patrick driving "Burning Money" 1937 Chevy - NDRL pro gas winner

The NDRL was on hand for their 4th points race of the season, hosting their Briggs & Stratton Hot August Nights Race.  When it was all settled, the winners were:

Pro 7.0 Class – Ken O’Reilly of Twin Lakes, WI

Pro 7.50 Class – Pat Malloy of Buchanan, VA

Pro Comp Class – Dave Nave of South Whitely, IN

Pro Gas Class – Sam Patrick of Sand Point, MI

Route 66 also hosted a Run Tuff Eliminator Class with close to 100 entries trying to make the 16 car field.  When the smoke settled, it was Sparland, Illinois’ Troy Bogner taking the top spot.

Bill Neri driving Warren Johnson tribute nostalgia pro stock Camaro

The Nostalgia Pro Stock Association was on hand again with tribute cars like Rod Shop Dodge, Carol “Bunny” Burkett’s Cotton Pony and Warren Johnson’s Camaro, just to name a few.

Joe Haas in Tom Motry`s Drastic Plastic
