The 47th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is in the books as another successful event staged by the Bader family at “America’s Racetrack”. Plenty of stars from the NHRA Big Show were in attendance with 4 Top Fuelers, 4 Funny Cars, NHRA North Central Division Top Alcohol dragsters and Top Alcohol funny cars. Also in the show were Nitro spewing Top Fuel Harley Davidsons, R&R Auto Body Top Sportsmen, B’laster Pro Mod Shootout, jet dragsters and jet funny cars and exhibition jet trucks including Hayden Proffitt’s Hot Streak II and Russ Lethbridge’s Hellfire.


Rounding out the competitors were cars in Edelbrock Super Pro, Edelbrock Pro, Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike, Edelbrock Sportsmen and youngsters in the Summit Racing Equipment Junior Dragster Shootout. Winners were Brittany Force over T.J. Zizzo in Top Fuel, Dale Creasy, Jr. upsetting Ron Capps in Funny Car, Gary Pritchett defeated Tony Stewart (yes, that Tony Stewart) in TA/D and Sean Bellameur over Chris Foster in TA/FC.


Other winners were Dwayne Gallogly in Top Sportsman and Doug Winters in Pro Mod. Jet dragsters, jet funny cars, exhibition jet trucks and wheelstanders kept the 40,000 + fans in their seats during breaks in the racing.


The night was capped off with the Bader Family Signature Fireworks show, music by Train-wreck Country Band and a track walk for all the fans. Mark your calendars the 48th event next year and get your tickets early as this show is always a sellout!
