Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals

Nostalgia Drag World was on hand for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. What an experience! We would like to tip our hat to Bob and Vicki Ashton and everyone who labored to produce the best muscle car show in the world. Bob and his wife have worked tirelessly to innovate and improve this show every year. It is now the gold standard by which others are judged. Thank you for putting this together for all of us to enjoy. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for next year, and we have already booked our rooms.

 

 
Mecum had several highly sought after cars that will be up for auction at their next event.
Nickey Chicago was in the house with all kinds of go fast goodies.
Everything from straight axles for 55 Chevys  to 2019 Camaro and Corvette super cars.


 
Bill Stasek had a booth full of new and slitly used Corvettes for sale with special show pricing.
Memory Lane and Flash Trash had all kinds of collectable
memorabilia for sale.



Jeanette Desjardins of Car Chix fame was on hand with some very cool automotive based gear.


Ledfoot News has become Chicago lands premier car guy magazine.
April Miller is a fixture at race tracks, car cruses and anything performance car related.
As always April has a large supply  of magazines that are yours for the asking


 
This what an all original 1941 Willy’s looks like. These are two extremely rare cars.


 
Summit brought several truckloads of product. The worlds speed show had a half dozen sales people ready to help you with your build
The Hurst Shifty Doctor van.



Where else but at the MCACN show would you find a dragster powered by four Buick engines.
This car is the famous TV Tommy Ivo car that barnstormed the country for many years.



This was one of the Mustangs that was used to film the movie Bullitt and was actually driven by Steve McQueen.



A Sox and Martin Hemi Cuda and a 427” Grumpy” Jenkins Camaro just like they were back in the day.



Both cars were reported to be original and were meticulously restored.


The Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stock Association had 9 Nostalgia Pro Stock cars on display.
As you might expect their booth was buzzing with bench race stories perpetrated by dozens of current and past members of the Pro Stock community.



One of the newest additions to the group is this beautiful Rod Shop Camaro courtesy of the Catron family.
This Reher-Morrison Lenco equipped 3rd gen raised more than a few eyebrows.



You are looking at a piece of history here. Steve and Theresa Stanick’s Vega was actually raced and many of the local tracks back in the day.



Chuck Weck showed up with his WJ tribute Camaro



Jim Ruth’s “Party Time” Firebird was “pitted’ next to The original Larry Peternel 81 Hemi Imperial now owned by Larry Gates.



One of the fastest cars on the circuit is Michael Roppo’s Nationwise Rod Shop entry.
