Rock & Race

The 2017 Rock & Race at the newly rebuilt Dragway 42 was a resounding success! Kudos go out to Don Moyer for organizing the show and to the Matcham family for staging it at their facility. The track closed in 2014 and after quite a few hurdles finally opened this year.
The fans were treated to a full field including Nostalgia Fuelers, Nostalgia Funny Cars, gassers, top sportsmen, stockers, and exhibitions by a jet Funny Car as well as plenty of wheelstanding action. There was even a cacklefest that included al & Don Nosse's "Mr. C." rear engine fuel dragster formerly piloted by Gary Cochran and John T. Francis had his "Asphalt Flyer" AA/Fuel Altered cackling too.
Plan on attending this one next year. If the inaugural was any indication, this show will only get bigger and better!
