This Month’s Cover Photo

I crossed one more item off my bucket list – and I had no idea how memorable the trip would be!
I cannot thank Ross Howard enough for "dragging me along" to photograph his car at the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. Ross owns the gorgeous Custom Body Enterprises funny car that was driven by Tom Prock at the U.S. Nationals in 1973. This year, the car was back at the Nationals for the first time in those 43 years. As if that was not enough, Tom Prock's son, Jimmy Prock (Crew Chief on Jack Beckman's funny car) did the honor of starting the car in front of thousands in the grandstands. Furthermore, Tom's grandson/Jimmy's son, Austin Prock, was in the seat - burnin' 90% nitro. And the crowd went wild..........! What an awesome day.

Plenty of smiles with the cackle complete at the Schumacher Racing open house.

Prior to appearing at the Nationals, Ross was invited to bring the car to the Schumacher Racing (DSR) open house to benefit the Riley Children's Foundation. This event is a traditional prelude to the U.S. Nationals at INDY. This year’s Open House honored NHRA’s yearlong salute to “50 Years of Funny Cars”.
It just doesn't get any better than this! Very honored to have been invited to capture some true history. This is a gorgeous car, truly deserving of that memorable week. Stay tuned for a future in-depth article on Ross Howard and his acquisition of the 1973 Custom Body Enterprises F/C.
