Quaker City Nostalgia Classic

The pits and grandstands at Quaker City Motorsports Park were packed for their Nostalgia Classic. Several racing organizations joined together for an action packed day including the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Car Circuit, Ohio Outlaw AA/Gassers, Southern Slingshots, Nostalgic Notions and the United Manual Transmission Racers.
The weather was perfect and there was even a gathering of cruise/show cars to check out if you needed to stretch your legs.
Ohio racer Steve Crook brought both his “Feelin’ Groovy” Funny Car and also his “Blew by You” AA/GS ’56 Chevy
Racers were lined up in both directions when the gate opened

(L) PACE Performance brought in their GM engine display trailer - (R) The fan turnout was fantastic
John Cerchio’s “War Paint” funny car is just gorgeous
(L) John Kwasniewski’s “Pol-Cal” funny car was a hit with the fans
(R) Phil Petri hauled all the way from Alabama to race with the Southern Slingshots
Tim Arfons brought out the newest “Green Monster” jet car for several exhibition runs
