(L) NE 1 qualifying with Mark Whynaught (near) and just a peek of Bill Webber's dragster (far). Bill and Mark are one, two, respectively, in the point standings.
(R) Rich Townsend's "Nitroholic '69 Camaro NFC had the unenviable task of trying to outrun Dan Horan Jr. in E1. Rich gave it a good shot, but Horan Jr. had the entire field covered by at least a tenth of a second.

(L) The index for NE2 was raised to 9.00 to take into consideration the higher elevation at RMR.
(R) Robert Overholser driving Don Nelson's "California Hustler" was right in the thick of thingswith Horan Jr. and Krabill; Robert lost to Krabill in E2 (5.908 to 5.988).

(R) The NFC chase appears to be down to two race cars: Dan Horan Jr. and Kris Krabill (pictured). Horan Jr. beat Krabill in the final round at RMR, yet Kris is only 26 clicks back from Dan (314 to 288).
(L) Kris Krabill drove Bucky Austin's "Northwest Hitter" to a new track NFC speed record of 250.00.
