American Beauty Found At Bosworth Water Trust Meet
by Jenny Wren
This American beauty is an awesome piece of kit. Built in 1950 she's not looking her best these days, but I think thats part of her charm! A 1950 Ford Business Coupe. Under the bonnet is a 1966 Corvette Stingray engine. The owner acquired the car 4 or 5 years ago from a seller in Las Vegas. For me like this, and it seems many others, she's more beautiful now than she would have been originally. Don't be deceived! Beneath that rusty exterior she's solid and will be heading out on the roads for a lot longer, probably outrunning a lot of modern day cars!
This car, always gaining a lot of attention, along with many others can be found at the Bosworth Water Trust meet on the last Tuesday of every month. From 5pm hoards of classic cars, from various eras going right back to little Austin 7's can be found sitting side by side with Ferrari F40's and army jeeps, Ford Mustangs, Pops and Plymouths amongst many more. Not only are there stunning cars to get excited over it's also in a beautiful setting, take a picnic and go and enjoy a nice evening by the water surrounded by stunning models (of the car type, of course)! Looking forward to sharing more cars from the meets with you next month!
