From The Editor’s Desk

Except for a few places around the globe (as in tropical-like climes or Scandinavian countries with their ice racing), we’ve finally come to the end of another great season of drag racing. To some, it couldn’t get here soon enough; to others, if your local track prep guys could cope with the white stuff…well, we know where they’d be!
2014 was a sensational year for all things of a nostalgia persuasion: The racing, of course; the increased number of new events, and, in many cases, strip operators and promoters reporting an increase in the number of butts occupying their grandstands – a truly good sign in this day and age of waning interest by the younger set.
The popularity of our form of racing promises all of us even better things for 2015. Already chassis builders are ordering Tig rod and Mig wire and setting appointments to front/back half current cars and craft a new crop of nostalgia front engine dragsters, funny cars, altereds and gassers that will be coming off their jigs over the next few months, providing us with more great cars in the pits in the coming season. There also has been a plethora of the ‘real deal’ old veterans of the quartermile wars found this past year that are in the restoration process to cackle and show, as well as other noted - but now long gone - cars being painstakingly recreated.
We here at Nostalgia Drag World have enjoyed this year as well, bringing over 1,000 pages of interesting articles, event coverage, interviews and the thousands of wonderful photographs to you, our readers! It wouldn’t be possible without all of our contributors – the great writers and photographers – who, with a bit of shufflin’ and tweakin’ from us, make all this magic happen month after month. A sincere thank you to all!
We do have some new plans for our almost two-year-old baby in 2015 that we think you’ll like, so…stay tuned, stay safe, and above all, have a nice holiday! Oh, what the hell with political correctness…have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! (And may that new cam, manifold or rear end under the tree be just what you need to knock a tenth or two off your time!)
